Artemis is the what the Greeks called her. In other religions, though, she was known by different names. For instance, to the Romans she was known as Diana or Diane.
Artemis was well-known for her hunting and of her protecting the gentle animals that are normally hunted. Artemis is one of the most independent out of all the goddesses. She is also confident, courageous, and strong.
One thing that Artemis is known for is her rule over the moon. Many would look to her while traveling in the night. She illuminated the darkness for them to see.
Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the sister of Apollo. Artemis was the first to be born and helped her mother to give birth to her brother Apollo.
